History
The 1928 Taylor twelve use the metal of the old 1860s Thomas Rudhall ten; a sharp second was added in 1981. In 2013/14 significant work was undertaken to improve the acoustics in the ringing chamber and all the bells can now be clearly heard.

By Bus: The tower is 10 minutes walk from the central Walsall bus station. The X51, 51 and 952 buses from Birmingham stop nearby. By Train: Nearest railway station is Walsall. By Road: Located close to the centre of Walsall, over looking the market. There is on-street parking in St. Matthew's Close.
Facilities
Toilets on site. The Black Country Arms is close by and offers an extensive real ale selection as well as pub food. Also close by is another real ale pub - the Wheatsheaf.
